Executive Director, WMF Portugal
Trained as an Architect, Teresa Veiga de Macedo obtained her PhD from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in strategies of (re)projecting the center of Lisbon. Her research proposes a methodology by which architectural intervention should integrate a city’s evolution, thus acknowledging that a city’s built heritage has significance for its future. Veiga de Macedo joined World Monuments Fund in December 2013 as a project manager at World Monuments Fund Portugal and has been responsible for implementing and coordinating projects, such as the Jerónimos Monastery Conservation Plan. Teresa also maintains a private architectural practice in Portugal.
