Lima: The Historic Center, Analysis and Restoration

Following the inclusion of the Historic Center of Lima on the 2008 World Monuments Watch, the Sapienza University in Rome and the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería of Lima developed the exhibit “Centro Storico di Lima: Patrimonio in Pericolo,” which was inaugurated in Rome in May 2010. The successful collaboration for the exhibit resulted in the creation of this publication, which illustrates some of Lima’s architectural heritage and the conservation methodologies that have or can be applied for the protection of this invaluable heritage.
